An Initiative by Kiwanis Malaysia Academy (KMA) Under the Kiwanis Khir Johari Foundation in collaboration with Persatuan Pemulihan Orang Cacat Selangor (PPOC).

Background

Kiwanis Malaysia Academy (KMA), under the Kiwanis Khir Johari Foundation, envisions an inclusive society where cross disability individuals are respected, supported, and empowered.

In line with this vision, KMA is establishing the SEN Support Exchange (MySENSE) — a collaborative platform that connects NGOs, social enterprises, educational institutions, parent groups, therapists, professionals, and advocates working in the field of cross disability.

MySENSE positions KMA as a thought leader, connector, and change-maker in promoting inclusion and advancing the cross disability movement in Malaysia.

Purpose

To build a connected, informed, and collaborative community of parents, teachers, practitioners and stakeholders championing cross disability and cross-disability inclusion across Malaysia.

Objectives

  • Facilitate mutual learning, capacity-building, and resource sharing.
  • Enable collaborative advocacy for inclusive education, employment, and social services.
  • Build strategic partnerships for joint programmes and funding opportunities.
  • Promote public awareness and reduce stigma surrounding cross disability.
  • Serve as a think tank and collective voice on cross disability issues and policies.

MySense Eco-System Partner Application

Coordination & Governance

  • KMA will serve as the Secretariat and Main Convener of MySENSE.
  • A Steering Group comprising of Persatuan Pemulihan Orang-Orang Cacat Selangor & Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia Independent Living Association for Disabled (MILAD) and other key partners will be set up to guide strategic direction and priorities of MySENSE.
  • Decision-making will be collaborative and consensus-driven, guided by principles of inclusivity and respect.

An email group and optional WhatsApp/Telegram forum for active dialogue.

Newsletter

A periodic newsletter with updates, highlights, and event announcements.

Online Community

A dedicated microsite or online community (optional).

Social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) to amplify public engagement.
